Joachim123 Posted October 23, 2011 Share #1 Posted October 23, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) After years of using different slide films I have finally found the perfect combination that works for me. Kodak 100G and M6. Stunning images. My all time favorite was the Kodachrome 25 and 64 but alas no longer. I hope that Kodak continues to produce this excellent slide film. qvsm Posted October 23, 2011 Share #3 Posted October 23, 2011 Another vote for e100g, though from dusk onwards I like Fuji 400x. E100g in 120 format is also superb - I prefer it's colours over Provia.

Also during my fashion course in Milan, despite the most favoured the Fuji Provia 100F, I found the E100G a much better take as concerns people skin and colour rendition. I also find the combination of M6 (TTL in my case) and Kodak E100G to be the perfect one, although I also like Kodak Elite Chrome 100. I tried a number of Fuji films but did not like them, either for saturation or because of too much contrast. E100G is a very neutral film. BTW, every time I decide to go for a negative film (last tried was Portra 160) I come out disappointed, either for color rendition or for the unnerving process of handling negatives, not to mention inserting them in a storage sleeve... Best film I've eve used. I use a Leica projector to project the slides, one can really see the incredible saturation and resolution of the Leica glass when projected. I wish I had been using it sooner Nik
Joachim123 Posted October 25, 2011 Author Share #9 Posted October 25, 2011 I like the Elite Chrome 100 as well but I find it a little more grainer when I look at the slides through my loupe. Still an excellent film when used with a projector. I just hope that Kodak keeps producing it until I am gone.

NB23 Posted October 25, 2011 Share #11 Posted October 25, 2011 To the experts: is the M6 Classic better suited then the M6TTL for this film?
