stuny Posted February 16, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted February 16, 2007 Rob - Â Sometime offline I'll tell you about my first encounter with a crucifix. Gorgeous, eyeball bending shot.

rob_x2004 Posted February 16, 2007 Author Share #6 Â Posted February 16, 2007 Thanks...Gallipoli Memorial. Hyde Park Sydney. Bent it inside out with curves and liked the green cast. Worked late at night without a room light, achieved effect I wanted, but I must admit, in the day I cant see it properly on my monitor so it might be a bit overdone. stuny Posted February 16, 2007 Share #7 Â Posted February 16, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Rob - Â The memorial in Hyde Park is my favorite ANZAC memorial anyplace (the simple one in Stanley, Tassie rank's #2). Having seen the superb Peter Weir film many times (it was the very first VHS we bought, replaced years ago with the DVD), we both cried when at this memorial, and we try to visit it again each time we're in Sydney (no opportunity in November '06). I have a much less interesting, terribly scanned shot of this from April 1989 (11 years pre-Leica for me) at this address: http://www.barbara-and-stu.com/In%20the%20ANZAC%20Memorial.jpg. Pethaps others would be interested in seeing this poor representation so they better understand your magnificent interpretation.
