Once in a lifetime on eBay en vente sur eBay.fr (fin le 02-oct.-11 18:08:18 Paris) I doubt it is a "real" thing! where are the three crowns?
philipus Posted September 29, 2011 Share #3 Posted September 29, 2011 I know next to nothing about screwmount Leicas. But doesn't the engraving on the top plate look somewhat "shallow" when compared with the shutter speed and film dials?
Guest Posted September 29, 2011 Share #4 Posted September 29, 2011 Most black IIIf have no crowns, only black IIIg (Laney/Puts, Leica Taschenbuch Kameras und Objektive, P. 74).

Guest Posted September 29, 2011 Share #6 Posted September 29, 2011 That's right... but black IIIf are really appealing... I can't afford a black IIIf but a IIIa syn updated from a black III (1933) is technical and optical very close to the Swedish Army black IIIf. Only a black Elmar would be very nice to add. BTW, does anyone know the particular specs of a "winterised" Leica - did the company ever specify the temperature extremes etc at which such a camera would work, as opposed to a 'normal' one? lars_bergquist Posted September 29, 2011 Share #8 Posted September 29, 2011 That is certainly the real McCoy. The old man, military class of '

Don't think so, but may be. Last winter the old lady worked very fine during several snow-trips in the Swiss alps at about -10° Celsius. I would be more afraid not to get a broken film.
