neila Posted February 13, 2007 Share #3 Posted February 13, 2007 The cat and the hat! I really liked both of those shots. Great.
azzo Posted February 13, 2007 Share #4 Posted February 13, 2007 Nice b&w images Matt. Can i make a small suggestion on your fantastically seen and captured cat image...try a very small adjustment by cropping exactly over the vertical bar at the bottom right. IMHO, you'll end up with a stronger image than it already is. Well done. Azzo
andybarton Posted February 13, 2007 Share #5 Posted February 13, 2007 These three are very interesting. Ivan's cropping sugestion is a good one, but they all work very well as they are. Nr 1 is a winner.
Peter41951 Posted February 13, 2007 Share #6 Posted February 13, 2007 The expressions caught in the first and third pictures are great! Excellent pictures.

carcam Posted February 13, 2007 Share #9 Posted February 13, 2007 These really make me mad... your first shots are incredible and I have a lot of work to do get up to these standards. You're a natural and deserve a fine camera like this. Thanks for posting (love the cat pic).
yoMammabot Posted February 13, 2007 Author Share #10 Posted February 13, 2007 Your all so kind and inspiring as well. I look forward to your critique as I begin posting the occasional image. I'm so happy that I finally get to use the glass I've always envied. Now I have to figure out how to do this incredible equipment justice. Manual + Quality Digital x Leica optics = PS. I will certainly take that advise on the crop on the cat.. I'll share it when I get back into Photoshop.
leseinne Posted February 17, 2007 Share #11 Posted February 17, 2007 welcome, but sorry to tell you that now you are addicted for life picture 1 is a bit flat to my taste but this is a nice shot. for 2 i like the atmosphere and the contrast the DOF of the third is perfect and the scene was just nice
Guest Lotw Posted February 17, 2007 Share #12 Posted February 17, 2007 The first portrait: nice picture. Your picture reminds me of this problem I had with my Summilux 75. I'm wondering at what eye you focused, the left or the right. The right eye does not seem sharp and it seems unlikely that you did not focus on that one. See also the structure in the skin. Just interested because I had to let my 75/1.4 repaired by Leica for focussing distance (it's working perfect now).
