The Getty is mostly stone and not a lot of trees, given it's up a mountain.

It's a bit of a nondescript building without any clues. It looks a bit like my son's school, although even that is a bit more interesting.

This one could run and run ....

"Trellis" is a bit rich - aerofoil or louvre would be more appropriate.

I must admit it was intriguing as I'm sure I've seen a picture of it, although it could be a shopping centre or a car park.

I then had a wild punt at Renzo Piano and 20 seconds later, thanks to google, I came up with the new wing of the Chicago Art Institute.

Now I'm wondering where I saw the picture, possibly at the Shard or the Pompidou.

The galleries are splendid for modern works. Here's another shot with Gehry in the background.  Your turn again!

I've seen a larger version of that Giacometti as well. It's very memorable because with the figures all walking away from each other it has a very negative space in the middle. Very depressing, which is probably what Giacometti was intending. You should tell the gallery to get rid of the glass, as it rather ruins the effect.

I'll get another image up soon.

Took this 3 hours ago. Obvious, really.

If it were brought into focus, would it look like this?

Thanks sls for the really creative interpretation of that space, so much better than a straight on "recording".

Hi John, I would like to propose that you put up the next one as you actually named it!

Oh all right then. This one is very obvious if you know it.

Reminds me of Sainsburys in Peterborough

I thought a thread rule was no details

Apologies! Coming to this thread relatively late, I missed the rule about no details. Ok, here's an image of the whole building (different day so different light).

Fish scales are not irrelevant.
