Bokeh Favourites

I have the nokton 1.1, and I think it is great. A great value, mine has little if any detectable focus shift, and the ability to take shots in low light is superb. I think the lens is really nice, one of my favorites. And yes, I have tried the noctilux - liked it too. BUt not for the price.

Dont count out the nokton, maybe I just have a good copy, who knows.

Sounds like you and Reiner got good samples of the lens. I didn't and so I decided on the Lux, ASPH. My decision wasn't based on Bokeh but sharpness. Here are some great Reiner shots with the Nokton. These can be evaluated both for Bokeh and sharpness.

As those pictures clearly show, many people buying a $10.000 noctilux end up taking pictures of their dog... :D

Thats kind of an unfair generalization.

I'm sure some of them use it to take pics of their cat. :p
