Advertisement Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Hi Rolo, Take a look here Light On Stone. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stunsworth Posted February 11, 2007 Share #2 Posted February 11, 2007 This is getting boring Rolo :-). Excellent shot! The usual beautiful tones. I went to Westminster Abbey yesterday. £10 to get in and no photography allowed!
ejd Posted February 11, 2007 Share #3 Posted February 11, 2007 Dear Steve -- many thanks for this intelligence. I have not been in to Westminster Abbey for ages (apart from a cocktail party a few years ago). Praise the Lord for all the ten pounds I have saved by staying away. And a plague on this and all such places and institutions that attempt to suppress photography (except what suits their perceived commercial interests). Dear Rolo, another picture to envy. All the best, John

elansprint72 Posted February 11, 2007 Share #6 Posted February 11, 2007 Rolo, You have caught some superb light here; knowing your thorough approach to your work I am surprised that you did not remove the (Bose?) speaker stack unless, of course, they are a client of yours. Thanks for sharing your remarkable images here.

wilfredo Posted February 12, 2007 Share #8 Posted February 12, 2007 Nice work Rolo! Steve, Last time I was there I was allowed to enter free of charge :-) Perks of the clergy. Wilfredo Benitez-Rivera Photography

andybarton Posted February 13, 2007 Share #10 Posted February 13, 2007 Durham don't allow photography without a permit, either, but they will sell you "a lovely CD with lots of lovely pictures on it" for a fiver. The Sacre Couer in Paris have viscious anti-photography wardens, who stop M-users from taking shots shooting with their cameras on their laps, while sitting at pews, but seem to allow kids with phones a free rein... Rolo, I reaaly like the reflected light on the pillar towards the background. Very nicely handled, as always.

You found something worth photographing inside? That's more than I ever did :-). It was the only church in Paris where I ever saw no photography signs. Strange, perhaps they have postcards to sell :-)

stunsworth Posted February 13, 2007 Share #13 Posted February 13, 2007 True Andy. That whole area is one of my least favorite parts of the city. Good views on a clear day though.
psquared Posted February 13, 2007 Share #14 Posted February 13, 2007 Lovely picture, Rolo. That reflection on the pillar appears to be the ghost of the knight rising.
