I use mostly the 35 Lux ASPH with 12466 hood - the focussing is perfect. The focus tab is perfect, the clearer view through the finder is perfect. In actual use, I like the Summilux much more. I do prefer the image character of the 35/1.2 though, which is at least in the same class as the 35 Lux ASPH optically. I have no idea about your Cron and Summarit. If you don't use a lens, sell it and invest the money in another focal length, you use more. Oddly i too find the focus a little firm - BUT it does seem to be getting a little better with time.. and yes - the size is a little obtrusive BUT its also 3x less expensive than the 'lux so I may be happy to accept the trade off. You might very well end up, finding, that the new 35 Lux ASPH FLE is NOT the finest lens there is for you ;-) I found after many lenses, I bought and used, that I do not find the newest, sharpest, cleanest Leica lenses the most interesting. Interestingly, I find my more than 50 year old Nikkor-S.C 1.4 5cm much better than my 50 Lux ASPH, which will likely have to go soon, as I just don't use it anymore. The 35/1.2 CV lens is one of the highest regarded Voigtlander offerings. Some have commented, that it indeed rivals the then contemporary 35 Lux ASPH, except to not suffer from focus shift. It delivers exceptionally clean results, yet still has some magic, which pairs it a lot better to classic glass like the pre ASPH 50 Lux or Noctilux f1. If I were you, and would like this lens, I would stop just right there. satureyes Posted July 25, 2011 Author Share #34 Posted July 25, 2011 I know you are ALL right - but i just don't like the idea of a lens not being used and sitting in my bag - perhaps I will look at exchanging the 50mm cron and the 90 summarit for a 75 'cron. By keeping the 35mm 1.2 then I don't see myself using the 50mm much more - so it would be a waste to keep this lens - and look at a slightly longer lens (but not as long as the 90mm) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
