Advertisement Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 Hi Solar B, Take a look here What you did not tell me !. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jippiejee Posted June 16, 2011 Share #2 Posted June 16, 2011 Isn't that why the hood is vented? I lose only a very tiny fraction of the fov when using the viewfinder really.
Solar B Posted June 16, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted June 16, 2011 Mmmm id say its more than a tiny fraction ... perhaps if using a Thumbs-up that would lift the finder just high enough but im not going down that route. Whilst its not serious i thought someone would have mentioned it , perhaps they have and i missed it Brian
jankap Posted June 17, 2011 Share #4 Posted June 17, 2011 Let us hope, that the successor of the X1 becomes an EVF. Perhaps even a build-in one, instead of the flash unit. Jan

Brian Partial blockage of the bottom right-hand corner of the viewfinder is a fact of life for M Users when using certain bigger lenses/hoods. Not the end of the world. I'd just leave the hood at home though - the camera really doesn't need it.
Solar B Posted June 17, 2011 Author Share #6 Posted June 17, 2011 Agreed Stephen ... i will ditch the hood ... as i cannot tolerate any obstruction , im a refractors kind of guy. Brian
