stunsworth Posted February 4, 2007 Share #1 Posted February 4, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Today in York. Street entertainers are a bit too safe and easy, but the blue shop background worked well with his yellow make-up. Some coins were put in his hat to say thank you - well, the umbrella actually. stuny Posted February 4, 2007 Share #5 Posted February 4, 2007 Steve - Delightful catch, great colors, framing and details. Glad to see it was York instead of New York -- He would have died of exposure here today.
stunsworth Posted February 5, 2007 Author Share #6 Posted February 5, 2007 Thanks guys. Stuart, it was pretty warm in the sun - very strange. Today is a different story, much colder and I had to scrape the ice of the car in Manchester.

robert_parker Posted February 5, 2007 Share #8 Posted February 5, 2007 Ineresting facial expression and sense of frozen movement - on the subject of 'frozen', there's talk of snow on the hills and the sky certainly looked that way, this far south... robert_parker Posted February 5, 2007 Share #9 Posted February 5, 2007 ps. Whilst the blue of the shop front looks a bit saturated, the black and colours of the shop in the left side background look just spot on, as if you were in front of it

james_h Posted February 6, 2007 Share #11 Posted February 6, 2007 I like this pic Steve, the yellow & blue definitely make it. Reminds of the last time I was in York, when I took a picture of a man in silver , frozen in time not temperature! He broke from his pose to say nice camera (when I had an M7) cheers Jim
stunsworth Posted February 6, 2007 Author Share #12 Posted February 6, 2007 Bertram, welcome to the forum. For those of us in the cold north of old Europe blue + yellow = Ikea ;-)
