Advertisement Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Hi semrich, Take a look here Heavy Load. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
LeicaBraz Posted May 11, 2011 Share #2 Â Posted May 11, 2011 Don't know if heavy, but big it is. Find space to right of photo somewhat distracting.
pauledell Posted May 12, 2011 Share #3 Â Posted May 12, 2011 Richard, Â I think the framing is great, lovely tones and crisp sharpness. A heavy load on his back and the slip of paper in his hand maintains his equilibrium. A classic picture. Â Paul
vdb Posted May 12, 2011 Share #4 Â Posted May 12, 2011 Great feel to this image. Love the subject...but wondering if capturing this in a vertical frame would show more of the "weight of the world"?

semrich Posted May 13, 2011 Author Share #6 Â Posted May 13, 2011 My thanks and appreciation to all for taking the time to leave comments. Â Virgil, you have a good point about the vertical in this case, but you may remember our sitting in David's apartment and the discussion about horizontal vs vertical format and how he rarely shoots vertical. I was pleased to hear that because maybe 1% of my shooting is vertical, I just find it to awkward and clumsy, and in a fast moving situation like this, to bother doing it more often.
