pauledell Posted April 22, 2011 Share #4 Posted April 22, 2011 Lambda, Well seen and taken. Nice composition, tones and sharpness. While windmill energy may be part of the answer to energy needs, I have always feared our landscapes being overwhelmed by windmills. Paul
Guest Posted April 22, 2011 Share #5 Posted April 22, 2011 thx paul, i agree with you ,nobody want´s to lavish our landscapes with windmills. but imo windmill energie have be one part of the answer..... lambda

Krauklis Posted April 28, 2011 Share #9 Posted April 28, 2011 The photo and the comments remind me of a shot of the Sellafield (formerly known as Windscale) Nuclear Site in Britain, taken in 1986. It is a scan from a bad black and white negative. I can well remember the situation. We saw the nuclear plant and the old cemetery (!) in the foreground and by all means wanted to take that shot. It was not easy because guards, who patrolled the narrow country roads around the site regularly had already noticed us watching the site through our binoculars, which wasn’t prohibited of course. But we weren’t sure about photos and so we left, returned, quickly stopped, hastily took some shots and off we went. And then this film “slept” somewhere in a dark box for 24 years, exposed but not developed, and only last year I had it developed and I was really surprised about the results, very grainy but it still showed the important details. I am by no means a scan-expert, but I think you will recognize the Sellafield buildings and the gravestones in the foreground. -krauklis (As far as I can remember taken with my most often used gear those days: R4 + 2/90)
