enboe Posted April 10, 2011 Share #4 Posted April 10, 2011 It's a wonderful opportunity to enter the world of Leica rangefinder photography. With very little care, it should last you the rest of your lifetime. How many other things today last that long? I see the camera has been used - all the better. You don't have to worry about giving it it's first scratch. Use it fully and in good health. In 20 or 30 years, "if" anything needs a tuneup, you can have the plastic center of the preview lever replaced for a few dollars, but I would use it as-is until then. Enjoy! enboe Posted April 17, 2011 Share #9 Posted April 17, 2011 I think it looks beautiful, just the way it is. I'd invest in a strap, maybe a nice braided black leather, before I paid for the blackout treatment. But as with all things, it's best for me to accept other opinions. Shoot and be happy. k_g_wolf ✝ Posted April 21, 2011 Share #12 Posted April 21, 2011 Can easily be mended by the diy- method. LEICA will - most likely - send you the small plastic-sparepart free of charge. best GEORG
