zhucelun789 Posted April 3, 2011 Share #21 Posted April 3, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Probably she attended at some kind of photographic course where they taught that most of the valuable pictures taken last century were taken with a Leica... Just guessing.. I smiled of it and wanted to share it; I don't know how this ended... I'll let you know...Of course many of the famous images he's probably seen were taken with cameras like the llla and a 5cm Elmar - he can pick that combo up in working order for about 200€/£, cheap enough for any students I know, so I'd tell him to go ahead and try it. pico Posted April 3, 2011 Share #22 Posted April 3, 2011 Something like this I would suggest that a modest rangefinder would suffice, especially considering the images her peers make with their expensive leicas.
Mike Shimwell Posted April 3, 2011 Share #23 Posted April 3, 2011 My 5 and 8 year olds always seem to prefer any of my cameras to their own digi P&S'. They'll happily pick up the M9 ro Ikon and use it. I'm toying with buying them a Bessa and 35 colour-skopar to share.
NZDavid Posted April 4, 2011 Share #24 Posted April 4, 2011 I would suggest it's a great excuse to go and buy a whole lot of Leica gear so the whole family can enjoy it! Then, if for some reason, your teenager decides it's not for him/her, somebody else can benefit from it.
