Gibbo Posted March 11, 2011 Share #2 Posted March 11, 2011 I was slightly amused that the guy thought that 1941 was pre world war two. It started in 1939 over this side of the Atlantic

Michael Geschlecht Posted March 13, 2011 Share #4 Posted March 13, 2011 Hello Everybody, Like the United States, Bulgaria entered World War II in 1941. Norway & Denmark for example entered World War II in 1940. For many people the war begins when their country or its ally is attacked or alternatively when their country attacks or joins with another country attacking somewhere else. For example: The Japanese invasion of China in 1931 was the beginning of the interlocked Worldwide series of conflicts which would later be called World War II. jaapv Posted March 14, 2011 Share #5 Posted March 14, 2011 If you really want to analyze it, the 19th century conflicts culminating in the Boer War which was a direct precursor off WWI, leading to WWII form an unbroken chain that persits even up to now
giordano Posted March 14, 2011 Share #6 Posted March 14, 2011 It would be more accurate to say that World War II entered Denmark and Norway in 1940.

hookonclassic Posted March 15, 2011 Share #9 Posted March 15, 2011 A very nice and early wartime IIIC stepper without the locking stud at slow speed dial ...very intriguing present indeed...wish I can pass on my Leica collection to my grandson too...but not as a famous photographer like Yanko's grandfather...
