Concentration

Hello Brian - thanks for putting up and sharing those pictures you've brought back from your trip to South America. I like this picture, because you managed to capture the musicians intense connection with his guitar. He seems to have forgotten everything around him and all that is left is his music. When I look at this image a can almost hear him play.

Brian -

I agree with the above, plus the what would otherwise be distracting background enhances this shot to show both that this is a busy pedestrian area, and that nothing can deter the musician from his music.

I like the image - sharpness, tone, and how you've rendered it.

What I do find a little disconcerting, though, is that multi-channel power mixer to the left of the guitarist. Somehow the raw simplicity of this image and his concentration clang against that box with all the knobs on it. But hey, this is the 21st century :p

Thanks once again guys for the comments. It's a B&W conversion of a D2 jpeg with simply a touch of extra contrast. As the subject was moving around, to get a good shot I used the 3-shot burst mode.

The Sunday antique/collectibles/tourist souvenir market in BsAs is well worth visiting and a photo goldmine. I spotted one other local D2 user there on the same day.
