stuny Posted January 26, 2007 Share #4 Posted January 26, 2007 Mehmet - In situations like this try spotmetering her face, and bracket. We've seen very many examples of beautiful bokeh from digital on this Forum. I believe that what you admire about good bokeh is lens generated, and Leica is very good at that. fotografr Posted January 26, 2007 Share #5 Posted January 26, 2007 I would suggest in this situation turning her away from the sun so she is backlit. You would have nice rim lighting and she would not be squinting to terribly.

ddp Posted January 26, 2007 Share #7 Posted January 26, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Digital would look SHARPER. Which scanner BTW? Brents comments on shooting into the sun with her are excellent. Would have been a very pleasing look. -1 compensation might block up shadows a bit more, not sure. Not an easy lighting situation to contend with.
darkness30 Posted January 27, 2007 Author Share #8 Posted January 27, 2007 Thanks all for the critique, Really appreciated. I do not have shaders and other assistants this is justa snapshot however Brents idea is excellent and i will try it next time. I also need to use tripod more often since this was hand held and not crisp enough. Scanner was LS 5000 ED. My point about BOKEH was just a plain question and not a sarcasm pls note Mehmet
gepetto Posted January 28, 2007 Share #9 Posted January 28, 2007 Mehmet You should get a monopod for use with the 180. They are so much easier than dealing with a tripod. Great tip Brent.
