ryee3 Posted February 4, 2011 Share #1 Posted February 4, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) There are 3 versions of the 280mm f4.8 for the Visoflex. Is one of the version sharper that the other? I am about to purchase either version 2 vs version 3. Thanks for any comments.

a.noctilux Posted February 4, 2011 Share #3 Posted February 4, 2011 I use one of the last version. Very nice if we can focus precisely with the long throw focusing ring. The last version can focus to 3.5m and filter size E58. Arnaud

farnz Posted February 4, 2011 Share #5 Posted February 4, 2011 To identify them: 1st version: code 11901 (lens head only) 2nd version: code 11902 (screw mount) 3rd version: code 11914 (bayonet mount) According to Erwin Puts: "From serial number 2,340,944 a newer design with higher contrast and better definition of fine detail was produced." a.noctilux Posted February 5, 2011 Share #6 Posted February 5, 2011 The last vesrsion(III) is E66 filter size JC, thank you for the correction. Sorry for the filter size. The last version (III for M-mount) series VIII filter with retaining ring 14169 (I'm home now, just read on the unit). Very nice lens, short for a 280mm, and far more usable every day than the long focus Telyt-V 6.8/400. And even more the 6.8/560 (very, very long ). k-hawinkler Posted February 5, 2011 Share #7 Posted February 5, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) :)Although the Telyt-V 6.8/400 with extension ring 14182 works pretty well as a macro.
