Fellow forum member Kamil Sukun introduced me to a hotel/restaurant overlooking the Four Seasons with stunning views and vantage point for shots of St. Sophia and the Blue Mosque. We spent some time there for tea a snack and photos. Stuart, I believe you have stayed there.

stuny Posted January 23, 2007 Share #3 Posted January 23, 2007 Richard - A very nice view of my favorite hotel in Isanbul (location, rooms, public areas, service amenities, though the food is not up to the rest of the place).
kamilsukun Posted January 23, 2007 Share #4 Posted January 23, 2007 Richard, It was a pelasure to photograph together. The shot reflects the overall atmosphere very successfully. Thanks for sharing. Stuart, Next time in Istanbul please be sure that local assistance is available for exploring other dining possibilities. Please let me know. richam Posted January 23, 2007 Share #5 Posted January 23, 2007 Richard, I've visited the hotel several times for receptions and what have you. Nice place with interesting history, but I agree with the restaurant comments. Much better the Hanedan in Besiktas or Korfez on the Asian side. stuny Posted January 23, 2007 Share #6 Posted January 23, 2007 Kamil - Thank you. Fortunately, all we planned on having at the "prison" was breakfast, and eating other meals elsewhere was wonderful (9 years ago such as Develi, Ulus 29, and the restaurant at Divan).
