English only ? :)

I speak fluent shopping and drinking in most known languages (and after a few drinks, a few quite unknown ones too!), but I have only a limited ability to converse in Dutch outside of those subjects. :o

Let's try to fix a date. I'd be happy to lead you in Utrecht, if we can agree on a date that I am available as well. The suggested dates of 19 and 20 March are impossble for me. In March 12 would be my only option.

March 20th will do fine.

And I'll join Nicole in trying to see if my unknown language skills enhance with a few drinks :p

AFAIK that also suits Jaap. Lex, earlier you wrote that 20 might work for you?

What about elaborating on the Apeldoorn idea? Or is everything closed on a Sunday :D

But Utrecht or Delft are fine for me.

March 20th suits me fine too. :) I have some ideas for Apeldoorn, but later in the year may be better, as some attractions don't open until April, and better weather makes them more attractive anyway. I'll reveal all when I see everyone.

Sorry for some misinformation about the dates. But on 19 March I participate in a conference and on 20 March I have to go abroad. I thought it would be later. So therefor both 19 and 20 March are impossible for me. I still think Utrecht is nice: in my area a nice new part of the city has been developed, with a little harbour, some 15 minutes from the station. The old center has nice buildings like the old churches, the canals etc.

that would be me :o

I can give you free lesson in Dutch at the meeting in Utereg & also have a CD for learning Haags which I will be happy to make a copy of. See here for lesson 1

(warning strong language, but really shows how different NL dialects are: Leids, Haags, Rotterdams - close but miles apart)

I can help our dear Prof. Dr. :D with what I remember of the Leids(e) accent from the time I studied there. It is not a pretty sound!

Looking more and more forward to this multilingual meet. Shame my naamgenoot from Utrecht cannot come: better next time!
