Thinking of buying an R9 with DMR. Foolish?

Apparently Solms are no longer servicing the DMR due to lack of available parts. This ties in with an earlier statement made at (IIRC) Hessenpark 2009.
As I understand it there have been service problems in the past as Leica did not do the work themselves. As of 2009, the whole operation is said to have reverted to Solms, making more extensive servicing possible.

My DMR is still the best solution for me. Neither Canon nor Nikon give me the look I want. As far as the R8/R9, I still own 3 of them. They are simply the best film SLR ever made. It's always the people that don't own or don't know anything about the DMR that try to defame it. There simply is not a better digital solution in the 35 mm format. The files I get from the DMR are just amazing.
