Doc Henry Posted January 1, 2011 Share #6 Posted January 1, 2011 It's too bad that Kodak stopped production for purely material interests This is a slide taken in 1968, the first one I took with my brand new Leicaflex SL with its Summicron 50mm, bought on credit , when I started working : notice the colours. They have not changed since that date. Is that digital photos can do as well in 42 years time I wonder ? Henry PS: the picture has not much interest taken in a garden behind the monastery in Nice (France). It is for me a great souvenir Thank you Michael and Happy New Year to you and to all of you LUF friends. Bonne Année 2011

Lawrence33 Posted January 1, 2011 Share #8 Posted January 1, 2011 I'm very sad that this world has lost another tool to work with. I have been graced to work in many spots of this profession. I shot with Leica starting in 1967, 2 M4, 1973, 1 CL and they travelled all over the U.S. and Europe. They are still working today 2011. And I know where my slide file, 125,000, is. I'am on my 6th computer and will have to buy a new one soon. I have lost drives, monitors, and 16,000 images, dam if I know where they went. So 12/30/2010 is indeed a sad day.
