Riccis Posted December 30, 2010 Share #4 Posted December 30, 2010 Shot too much film to keep track (just in the summer I burned through 600 or so rolls of 35mm, 100 of 120 and 300 sheets of Fuji Instant 4x5 film). Happy New Year!!!
Steve Ash Posted December 30, 2010 Share #5 Posted December 30, 2010 I haven't the exact figure of my film count. But it should be an embarrassing number of about 50-70 rolls. More important is what I already have in the fridge for 2011 as I will mainly stay in Egypt next year and doubt in the local supply alternatives. 50x Adox CMS 20 70x Rollei Retro 100 20x Kodak Tmax 400 20x Velvia 50 10x Provia 100F 20x Provia 400X I am a little bit unsure whether the color portion needs some additions. jackbaty Posted December 30, 2010 Share #6 Posted December 30, 2010 Fewer than 80 rolls for me. The way I know that is that I name the scanned folders by number (2010 Roll 01, 2010 Roll 02, etc.) I hadn't considered tracking them by film type, but that seems like a fun thing to do! I'm also going to optimistically use a 3-digit format for the roll counts next year
Riccis Posted December 31, 2010 Share #7 Posted December 31, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I don't think any number is embarrassing, let's just keep shooting film.
jplomley Posted January 3, 2011 Share #8 Posted January 3, 2011 178 rolls of 35mm, 25 rolls of 120, and about 400 sheets of 4x5. About 3,000 exposures on my M9. Not sure what these stats really say, except that I am still firmly rooted in the analog world. Just finished a reportage on New Orleans shooting all B&W film in a pair of M7's. There was no way I was taking a $7K camera into some of the areas I ventured.

FYI: You won't find any slide film or anywhere to process them in Egypt. You'll find consumer kodak c41 films in the many Kodak stores scattered around Cairo and (I presume) Alexandria, but be careful where you process/scan them, as the results can vary. Take all the good film that you can with you! Sorry, back to OP - only 6 rolls for me... Velvia 50.
Pangur Ban Posted January 4, 2011 Share #11 Posted January 4, 2011 2010 was the year of the M8 for me, so I only took about 30 rolls of film, down from around 100 in previous years... I'm planning on using more film in 2011 :-)
miklosphoto Posted January 4, 2011 Share #12 Posted January 4, 2011 95 rolls for me. For 2011 my goal is to double it at least.
chrism Posted January 5, 2011 Share #13 Posted January 5, 2011 I didn't keep track of the exact numbers of which type of film, but I used up about 40 rolls of 120 and 50 of 35mm. Could have been more, but I didn't want the M9 to sulk too much. Chris

I will process b&w myself. The rest I will take home when I visit my family. Regards Steve
maurometallo Posted January 7, 2011 Share #15 Posted January 7, 2011 I have never been a prolific shooter: A couple of rolls of TRI-X per week, ever since I can remember... I am very pleased to notice that nothing changed in the 2010, and I'm also confident that nothing will change in the 2011. Long live Film.
