Wiki Section (Deutsch) and an old catalog I have "UOORE : Adapter zur Verwendung des Objektivkopfs des starren 50mm Summicron am BOOWU-M, Nr. 16508" Indeed, seems that both UOORF and UOORE were later re-coded as 16508... clearly the same item. Luigi, only Denis Laney speaks about this 2 codes : in his book Leica collector guide p. 268 & 269 and in his accessories pocket book (1st & 2nd Ed.) p.43 & p.46 on p.269 it it printed UOORF / 16509 on my Leica dealer price list from 1971 the only ref is 16508 for 50mm lens head adapter ring. So why not take the ref. number from a code name that people know as UOORF ? 16509... On all the other documentation about code list, I do not find any UOORE. May be is coming from a typing error and perpuated with the time IMHO.

Laney only on my side, indeed... even not mentioned in Rogliatti well complete list of codes... and Laney collector's guide has notoriously a significant number of typos... btw, my UOORF ring is engraved 16508... no doubt... It seems that the UOORE mention in various literature is the result of a misspelling by Leitz in one of its leaflets, the final E in UOORE being printed in place of the F. The confirmation comes with the fact that the digital version of both is the same : 16508.
carlos.paula Posted November 20, 2014 Share #24 Posted November 20, 2014 Friends, last week I purchased for my collection a boxed BOOWU-M (16526H). So, I soon realized that one side of each of three bases fit the lens mount of my M3 camera, each one to use with A4, A5 and A6 paper sizes. But in the other side, it´s a misterious mount. A little bayonet mount with 3 lugs, which I have no idea what to mount there. An adaptor cames together, the 16508Y, that fits this little bayonet mount, and the other side is a screw mount, but very smaller than the standard 39mm LTM lens mount. Can you give me an idea? I have three 50mm lenses: Summicron collapsible LTM, Summicron Dual Range (bayonet mount) and Summilux 50mm (bayonet). I do not have an Elmar 50mm F: 3,5. Thanks a lot. pop Posted November 20, 2014 Share #25 Posted November 20, 2014 The little bajonet mount accepts either an LTM Elmar 50mm/1:3.5 or an M-Mount Elmar 50mm 1:2.8, both of the collapsible kind and in the collapsed state: Welcome, dear visitor! The small adapter accepts the detachable head of a Summicron 50mm 1:2.0 type I, according to our WIKI. Please pardon the poor quality of the shots; these are hastily made freehanded shots. carlos.paula Posted November 21, 2014 Share #27 Posted November 21, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) About the lens head options, I know that the rigid Summicron can be unscrewed, disconecting the head from the focus unit, like the old Hektor 135 and Elmar 90. I would like to know if the Summicron F:2,0 "Dual Range" version has the same option.
a.noctilux Posted November 21, 2014 Share #28 Posted November 21, 2014 Yes the optical cell of Summicron DR can be unscrewed from the focussing mount. Arnaud
