lct Posted December 2, 2010 Share #21 Posted December 2, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) The grip of the black ribbed rubber ribbon of the latest Elmar-M 50/2.8's cap (# 14285, metal, black anodized) sounds robust enough to me. That of the M6J's Elmar-M 50/2.8 (# 14321, metal, silver) is less robust because its black ribbed rubber ribbon is softer than the former. That of my Elmar from 1958 (# 14321?, metal, silver) has the well known red velvet ribbon. BTW my favorite hood/cap for the Elmar 50 are those from the Summicron-C 40/2 (# 12518 & 14191). Slimmer, less useless as a shade and the cap needs solid nails to be removed. Looks like a french beret though. <grin>
