M3 - I need an extra take up spool

Hi all,

I just purchased a wonderful M3 which is truly amazing. However I have only one take up spool. I should obtain a second or third one as insurance. I live in the US and I am wondering where I can find them and purchase them. Ebay had only one on auction and it was quite expensive. Are there any dealers who might have them in good condition?

I bought a spare spool when I bought my M3s in '68, its still in its box! I wouldn't worry, it only comes out of the camera when you load a film, just be careful!

Hello Ttureman,

 

Welcome to the Forum.

 

In place of additional spools, which some people use to speed up loading, you might consider a quickload.

 

If you think you might want to consider a quickload or want to know how to use more than one spool to speed up loading I just answered those questions in the Customer Forum in a thread called "Hello From A New Member" Posts 12 & 15.

 

Usually it's possible for a person to pop things from one part of this Forum to the other which is what people helping out usually do but I don't know much about computers & therefore don't know how to do that.
