stuny Posted November 18, 2010 Share #1 Posted November 18, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) The Viper and the SL, decked out to promote Top Gear coming to the US, was offering free rides. Other cars in service 10:00 to 5:00, Wednesday through Friday this week, include a Ferrari 599, A Lambo Gallardo, and a Bently Continental Coupe. It should be a crime to paint these things this way. Perhaps I'll catch the other cars today.

pauledell Posted November 18, 2010 Share #3 Posted November 18, 2010 Stuart, A great series of a new trend in transportation. Is this service for the elite only or can the little people get in on this too providing they have the bucks? Mayor Bloomberg may frown on this because the taxis are not GREEN enough. stuny Posted November 18, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted November 18, 2010 Paul - Your last chance at these, as an ordinary citizen, is on Friday, 19th November between 10:00 and 5:00.
Michael Geschlecht Posted November 18, 2010 Share #5 Posted November 18, 2010 Hello Stuart, Nice Photos. Both cars look good in yellow although some people might consider the calligraphy overdone. I would tend to think it might be removable. Best Regards Both, Michael
stuny Posted November 19, 2010 Author Share #6 Posted November 19, 2010 Michael - Thank you. I suspect that the are removeable. If I stop by there again today I'll have a look.
Bob Jackson Posted November 23, 2010 Share #7 Posted November 23, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hopefully the yellow is just a vinyl wrap; I've seen it done before for advertising. What a group of shots! I can only imagine the cars cringing as they drive down 5th Ave. decked out like cabs.
Bertje Posted November 23, 2010 Share #8 Posted November 23, 2010 Nice series Stuart. Big yellow taxi. By J. Mitchell.
stuny Posted November 23, 2010 Author Share #9 Posted November 23, 2010 Bob - Thank you, and I hope so. Yellow seldom looks good to me on cars, but at the moment a 458 Italia is in the window at the Ferrari Store, and the styling is strong enough to overcome the color. It still would be better in other colors. Bert - Thank you, and JM's songs are on Barbara's iPod and iPad as well as on my iPhone.
Michael Geschlecht Posted November 23, 2010 Share #10 Posted November 23, 2010 Hello Again Everybody, You know, the more I look @ it the more I like the yellow. I could live w/ it. I would most likely remove the lettering though. Best Regards, Michael
