pauledell Posted November 16, 2010 Share #1 Â Posted November 16, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Buffy was a 14 year old Golden Retriever mix that was gentle, kind and smart. Today we had to put her down. She was my best faithful dog friend. Needless to say, I am heartbroken. Â Paul

vdb Posted November 16, 2010 Share #3 Â Posted November 16, 2010 Paul, I know so well how this feels. But 14 years was a gift. I still keep reaching down to look for my Lisa, who died at age 10. Even Lars still looks for her. They give us much more than we realize sometimes. A wonderful image to remember her by.

pauledell Posted November 17, 2010 Author Share #11 Â Posted November 17, 2010 To all of you friends, Â A heartfelt thanks for your kind words. What a forum we have here with so many expressing your feelings. It certainly makes me feel a kinship to all of you. Incidentally, we have three other dogs, Butch the Boxer, Tommy the Ridge-back hound and Max the Irish setter, all of them still looking for their matriarch leader. They certainly help fill the void.
