Now that she wants to do an A level in photography, does anyone out there have any advice that isn't going to cost me the earth. I've looked at the Olympus Zuiko ED 8mm but it's simply too expensive. squarenegs Posted November 10, 2010 Share #3 Posted November 10, 2010 Hi Go for a trawl on eBay. Several years ago I bought a manual focus Sigma 8mm fisheye with a Pentax K mount. The lens and a K to 4/3 adapter cost little more than $100.00 with postage, US to Canada. I regularly use the lens on my 4/3 bodies, usually an E30. The results are fine. Remember, with a lens like that, the fisheye look and not absolute resolution or sharpness is the goal. Also,the Russian/former Soviet Peleng is a great and cheap 8mm I had one that I used on my E300 4/3 body and regret having sold it. Yes, considering the cheap'o options and the fact that auto-focus is pretty much meaningless on an 8mm lens, the Olympus AF 8mm Zuiko is too expensive.
