LeicaTobin Posted November 6, 2010 Share #1 Posted November 6, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I must say I am really digging Bo Lorentzen (forum member here as well) alternative hood for the CV 35mm. I always wanted the square type hood instead of the round one and this fits the bill perfectly. I took some pics of it on my M8 on my blog check it out at: CHADTOBIN Bo's webpage is BoPhoto.com Cheers, Tobin
Advertisement Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Hi LeicaTobin, Take a look here Alternative Hood for CV 35mm 1.4. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
lct Posted November 6, 2010 Share #2 Posted November 6, 2010 No vignetting at f/1.4 with that hood?
ArtZ Posted November 6, 2010 Share #3 Posted November 6, 2010 Bo sent me few weeks ago this lens hood. I'm very happy with it, much better than the original (optional) one: better contrast and flare reduction. lct, no vignetting on the M8. Keine ahnung mit M9. Thank you, Bo! Bo_Lorentzen Posted November 7, 2010 Share #7 Posted November 7, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Tobin, Glad you like it, the hood sure look great on the black M8. How do you like the thinner material in the part cutting into the viewfinder.? I tried to get the angle right so that the material obscures as little as possible. LCT. there is no vignetting on the M9, I have been using my 35mm extensively on the M9 almost always wide open. Or at least I have not been able to detect any vignetting after capturing lots of pictures on tripod with and without the hood, I made it as aggressive as I could before it started to affect the image. ArtZ, glad you like it, nothing more exciting than making something and seeing other photographers enjoy the design. .
