Welcome to the Leica Collector's Forum!

The Collector's forum is meant for everybody interested in historical Leica products. If you have questions about identifying old Leica cameras or if you want to share knowledge about historical lens constructions - this is the place!

Have fun!

Andreas

Don't remember being asked about this but, no worries, I can cope.

Where is the cars Forum that we did vote for?

I'd be much more happy if you gave the M8 dudes a separate forum, then I would not have to read about all the crap they are wading through.

I have several old leicas with accessories that my father brought from Germany after the war. I know they are dated from the thirties and forties. I have many lenses and automatic winders and filters. One particular camera has an inscription "Luftwaffe eigentum". I think it is a military camera. I know it authentic since it has been in my family for over 60 years. I also have several robots which I think were gun cameras. They take pictures as fast as you push the shutter. Any one have any info if I get you the serial numbers I also would like to refurbish these camera since they have been sitting in my closet for many decades.

Great!, maybe they will produce a new black screw mount 50 2.8 Elmar lens. They could produce a black paint collaspable 50mm summicron for starters. What do you think?

Hi Bill , I think the idea here is to use & or collect old bodies and lenses. While I say this I do have a 50mm Summicron chrome SM it is the current version and even has a sliding hood. This one I use on my IIIG . Some SM lenses where made for the Japan market I think the 35 mm Summicron asph and the 50mm Lux as well. Not particularly valuable

but you have new glass on the old body.

A great extention to the LEICA Forum, thanks. There should be a lot of interest for the history of LEICA, be it factory or products.

But what about a sale/ swap department IN the HISTORICA- Forum ? LEICA should have no interest at all in prohibiting the sale and swap of LTM- gear.

Should we have a poll to convince the admin to allow this ?

What´s your opinion on this ?

Best
