Pecole Posted November 1, 2010 Share #1 Posted November 1, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) In 1980, The Fontenelle Leitz-Leica Collection issued and disseminated 600 free copies of its bi-monthly Newsletter, mainly to members of the Leica Histotrical Society of America (L.H.S.A.), Leica Historica (Germany) and British Leica Historical Society. The Newsletter is quoted in various bibliographies, for the last time in Dennis Laney's "Leica Collector's Guide - 2nd edition (page 589), and sets have even been sold at auctions (Cornwall). I started to digitalise my original set of 6 copies totalling 87 pages, 39 of which are illustrations. Unfortunately, the original text pages were roneotyped and have to be typed again on Word, so it takes time. But more than 50% is already done. It is funny to read the comments - often candid - written 30 years ago! Here are photos of the 6 covers. When the set is ready, I'll offer it on CD to interested members. luigi bertolotti Posted November 2, 2010 Share #10 Posted November 2, 2010 ! I didn't catch the joke !!! In Italy it's always referred to as "Monviso" and I just now realized the "Viso" allusion... My memory was bad about the tank of the Cota... can be I confused with Ossa MAR of same age, I remember that Trial bikes for competitions had terribly tiny tanks...
