robert_parker Posted January 15, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted January 15, 2007 James, Stuart and John Thank you for your kind comments - the image was desaturated in CS3 and toned using the sliders, in a way similar to the descriptions of the technique in another thread - I'd like to pretend I added the sea fog but that was real !! It's a great pity that so many of our Victorian piers have fallen into disrepair or completely disappeared. Your picture has brought back some very happy memories of childhood holidays at Weston (1950s) when we used to arrive at this pier by paddle steamer and stay at the Savoy hotel for a glorious week of seaside fun; sandcastles, donkey-rides, ice-cream and candy floss.
