After Tim's comment on Rolo's thread talking about Steve's project that Andy's walking round , I couldn't resist posting this one that I made earlier R7, Kodak Hi Def 100, 50mm 'Lux, desaturated in CS3 with slight sepia introduced

Thank you for your kind comments - the image was desaturated in CS3 and toned using the sliders, in a way similar to the descriptions of the technique in another thread - I'd like to pretend I added the sea fog but that was real !!

The mist (which is often present in the channel) adds an eerie feel to the image. It's a great pity that so many of our Victorian piers have fallen into disrepair or completely disappeared. Your picture has brought back some very happy memories of childhood holidays at Weston (1950s) when we used to arrive at this pier by paddle steamer and stay at the Savoy hotel for a glorious week of seaside fun; sandcastles, donkey-rides, ice-cream and candy floss. It never rained!

They've repaired the Old Pier at Clevedon and hopefully will do something about this one too, Severn Barrage permitting !! The world changes but at least the donkeys and the ice cream are still there....:)
