Beside the Sea V - Guiding Light

Rolo, a very interesting composition and a potential great light (maybe? hard to say), but, IMO, the recovery of underexposed parts turn into redish flat zones, which kill this image. My 2 cents. What do you think?

Gerald,

Thanks for your comments.

erhmm ... which reddish flat zones ? The reflection of the sky on the water, or the red paint on the wall ? Or am I missing something ?

The image is a night scene and the sun has gone down and the exosure is about 2 seconds. Presumeably you would capture the feel of the location and wouldn't expect to see full detail. But don't let me second guess any further.

Please advise.

Rolo,

Sorry, it seems we don't see the same image... :) I suppose my monitor is well calibrated and what I see is all the dark parts (walls and ground) with a grey-magenta-red cast. Maybe a problem on my monitor. I'll try to figure out.

Cheers,

Gérald
