ryee3 Posted September 19, 2010 Share #1 Posted September 19, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just acquired this focusing grip leica televit-r 14146 that came with the 280 mm lens f4.8 that I was planning to use with a Visoflex. Are there some instructions for the use of this accessory? There is a flip up on the back portion of tube maybe for filters? Anyone can direct me to a source for instructions on the use of this device. Thanks:)

The button on the hand grip releases the Televit's friction so that you can focus by either push or pulling the camera body, or fine-focussing with the thumbwheel. The Televit also has focus stops that you can adjust to allow partial or full focussing range. The partial range can be handy if you know ahead of time where the action might be: set the focus stops at the ends of the expected range and you woun't waste time over-shooting the correct point. zeitz Posted September 19, 2010 Share #3 Posted September 19, 2010 The bayonet adapter (14138) that is screwed onto the 280mm lens head is quite rare. It is worth as much as, or even more, than the lens head itself. It also enables the 400mm f5.0 lens head to be mounted. The 400/5.0 on Televit is one of my favorite combinations. spydrxx Posted September 19, 2010 Share #4 Posted September 19, 2010 It really isn't very hard to figure out how to use it in about 5 minutes fiddling with it. Doug's instructions pretty much say it all. It is a neat device. I used one for about 3-4 years on a variety of camera bodies via adapters, but eventually sold it when I acquired a 400/6.3 telyt; I like its focusing mechanism much better once I got used to it.
