John Maio Posted January 7, 2007 Share #1 Posted January 7, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) This is a view of Sandia Peak, just east of Albuquerque. The viewpoint was from Highway 14, south of Tijeras for any of you familiar with the area. I experimented a bit with the HDR feature in Photoshop DigiLux-
Advertisement Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 Hi John Maio, Take a look here Sandia Peak from the south. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
fotografr Posted January 7, 2007 Share #2 Posted January 7, 2007 I'd say you really nailed the HDR, but the image looks oversharpened. Otherwise, very nice shot.

John Maio Posted January 7, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted January 7, 2007 Thanks for the comments. Here's another one from today's adventure. Again, using the DigiLux-3, I bracketed the exposure and then tried another experiment in HDR with the three resultant images, The idea was to capture the nuances of detail and tonality in the snow without blowing out the highlights. What do you think?
jmr Posted January 8, 2007 Share #5 Posted January 8, 2007 John, you've kept nice detail in the snow but the trees seem to run a little to black in my opinion.
