BMJ Posted August 21, 2010 Share #2 Posted August 21, 2010 I have the same problem - I think it is a well known problem - so I will hang on here to see if anyone have some solutions other than send it to service. /BMJ
nigelb Posted August 21, 2010 Share #3 Posted August 21, 2010 Sounds like a good opportunity to get leathered. CameraLeather.com Custom camera leather and leatherette have covered a number of Digilux 2s which you can see in this forum if you search. It's not listed in the supported cameras on his site but he has certainly done some, may even do a self cover kit. Contact them. Tempted myself even though my covering is not coming off! stuny Posted August 23, 2010 Share #6 Posted August 23, 2010 I live in the US and took it to their New Jersey facility. They told me they would hold it there until they had the parts. I Think it was done under warantee, but that was some years ago.
Overgaard Posted August 23, 2010 Share #7 Posted August 23, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Leica Camera will glue it back and clean it, or replace it. You can send and e-mail to Leica Camera Customer Service at cs@leica-camera.com and ask for price. It's worth having done, like a new camera.
gkoslo Posted March 10, 2012 Share #8 Posted March 10, 2012 I sent my D2 to Leica last fall and they replaced the two black front parts that was slipping off with new ones - no charge at all. That's excellent service.
