Richard -

These are wonderful in subject, environment, framing, colors & focus, though something about the pose in #2 works better for me. The only negative thing to say is that the images are posted too small for me to fully enjoy them.

Colors and framing are quite nice.

But the PS work ruins the pictures, imho. Makes the pictures look very artificial, with no clear reason to do so.

Leica lenses have such a beautiful out of focus rendition... A large aperture would do much better here. Do you have the original, unedited pics?

....couldn't agree more with Thomas. I guess it's more the fact that we have to treat our digital photos on a computer and with the power of all those editing progs get quickly carried away and finally just ruin a good pic instead of arranging it.

This is just a personal sight as I treat all my photos in a traditional darkroom.

I also would be curious seeing the original photo

The PS background work would work well if she was a superhero and you wanted to rely the impression that there was great forces in play, threatening the survival of the planet.

If this is not the case, it does not work ;-)

Besides that, it's promising portraits. But hard to not look at the background.

Richard,

nice portraits, very well exposed; I have to agree with Thorsten, the Photoshop effect detracts rather a lot from a nice couple of shots.

Much better second time around. I would only burn back the highlights on the cars in the first image to make them a bit less intrusive. A very pretty model, and she looks very relaxed in front of the camera.
