I was very moved by the love bond between this mother and child. This was taken in the parish office where I am the Rector. Lily hopes to grow up to be a medical doctor and I believe she has the brains to do it. She will make her First Communion this Sunday. Her mom is a hard working single parent. Perhaps this will be the beginning of my series on the working poor in Orange County, California. The hardhships this mother endures are many, yet she does an admirable job with her children.
