How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 1000 kB (2000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “c

Cool! This reminds me of similar objects I found for my X1 once. Same problem as in yours (in my opinion): focus not at the front person in image 1. In yours the baby isn't in focus.

In the last image: you see the X1 for proof! Sorry for the watermark. Was by mistake.

Could you post a b/w conversion?

Pray tell what was your editing ? It looks like a stencil drawing - very cool effect - looks geometrically correct as well - great eye !

Thank you very much for your feedback. This picture went through SilverEfex a long time ago and while I shuffled through my archives I came to it and applied another standard bw preset in Lightroom atop the already developed picture. I quite liked the result and so shared it here :)

A few weeks ago I bought myself an old Leica X1. It did not cost more than 300 Euros and it was labeled as defect. But look what wonderful photos it still gives. Thats what I call quality.

I had an X2 a while back and it got sold in the usual equipment shuffle. Lately I've been wanting a lighter, smaller camera to carry when even an M seems a bit heavy and bulky (walking or cycling ...) and I remembered the X2. I started looking for one and found that the X2s go for a bit more than I wanted to spend, but the X1s were right in my spend zone. I'm delighted with the photos I made on my first walk with this camera! 

So, I liked what I saw enough that I figured I might get the Leica case for it and maybe the Leica viewfinder (36mm BrightLine) ... In the course of buying the latter, the seller sent me a note that if I wanted an X2 he had one for sale in primo shape. I asked how much, of course ... he gave me a price even better than what I paid for the X1 so, eh? what the heck? I have that coming in too.

Is the creative will that the contours of individual objects dissolve in the image? And why

The overexposure is by mistake.But so, coincidentally, it is highlighting the Person against the white wall. I like such things. Additionally the image is cleaned up, so the whole thing centers in this emphazised Person in the middle. I would say: "the image is about focus"
