ryee3 Posted July 6, 2010 Share #1 Posted July 6, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am ordering a 1.4x magnifier and wondering since I am presbyopic whether I need to add a + lens in order for me to focus the split images in the viewfinder. Thanks for your responses.
Advertisement Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Hi ryee3, Take a look here 1.4x Magnifier for M8. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Stealth3kpl Posted July 6, 2010 Share #2 Posted July 6, 2010 I don't think you will need a presbyopic correction. You'll need your distance prescription (so keep your distance glasses on if required). Pete
Rick Posted July 6, 2010 Share #3 Posted July 6, 2010 If, it is of the Galileon Telescope design that can move the objective and ocular by screwing them apart, then you can dial in your own diopter correction. So, the answer is no, you do not need a diopter. Get it first and try it this way.
thompsonkirk Posted July 7, 2010 Share #4 Posted July 7, 2010 If you order a Megapearls 1.35 magnifier, you can dial in the diopter correction. Kirk
ryee3 Posted August 19, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted August 19, 2010 I purchased a +1.00 Diopter addition and screwed it onto the 1.4x magnifier. I now can focus very easily in the viewfinder with all my lenses. Thanks to everyone who reponded with their opinions and suggestions.
