arthury Posted July 9, 2006 Share #2 Posted July 9, 2006 Beautiful blue and the effective size contrast. So, what are you doing taking pictures and not attending church on Sunday?
ron110n Posted July 9, 2006 Share #3 Posted July 9, 2006 Que maravilloso Marc! I haven't been to Cebu, but I spent my childhood in Manila. That bamboo raft brings back the memories of my childhood. Gracias por compartir su foto Saludos! -Ron
marc_dufour Posted July 9, 2006 Author Share #4 Posted July 9, 2006 Arthur, I'm afraid my way of life seems more to this young people's one than his fathers one, despite I could be the father of all of them. :-) Ron, I'm glad the picture brings back you childhood memories. I hope they were good times. Me alegro de verdad por ti. Thanks to both for looking and kind comments. Marc

semrich Posted July 10, 2006 Share #7 Posted July 10, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Marc - What can I say, as I find regularly with you photos, the colors are beautiful, like being transported to another world. Wonderful composition too. Richard
marc_dufour Posted July 10, 2006 Author Share #8 Posted July 10, 2006 Richard, As I wrote in other oportunities, color is important for me, as a beautiful part of life; as an essential tool for undestand the world wich surrounds us; as an essential tool for transmit the feelings it causes in us. So, I'm very grateful with your comment :-) Thanks for looking and for your time. Marc
stuny Posted July 10, 2006 Share #9 Posted July 10, 2006 Marc - IMHO, very nearly perfect. I think it would be stronger without the hint of the other people in the bottom left. therefore, I'd crop it just above them. Stuart
marc_dufour Posted July 10, 2006 Author Share #10 Posted July 10, 2006 Stuart, There were nobody more, nor at left side, nor behind me. Behind me were only a handrail and at the other side, the path. I was on the edge of the cliff, with wet sheets on the slippery ground. I took the picture with open wide 35-70 lens, and secure to a branch. Perhaps the shadows give you the sensation of more people. Thanks for looking and comment. Marc
Overgaard Posted July 10, 2006 Share #11 Posted July 10, 2006 The light/shadow around the center of the scene add a dreamlike or magic thing to the picture. The three in the front make it look like a sneak shot. But then again adds space and mystery to the picture. A clean shot of just the scene might have resulted in a dull 'paradise shot' I like it overall a lot.

dan_drabek Posted July 11, 2006 Share #17 Posted July 11, 2006 Nice the way you've framed the people. Great color. Like Stuart, would probably crop it just above the bottom highlights. To my eye it would be a little cleaner in composition. DD
