Zinc M4-P

I noticed that evrybody "knows" that M4Ps with flush windows have Zinc top plates but it appears that no one has ever actually seen one.

Other then the ones that *might* be photoshopped in response to this thread, I doubt this elusive camera ever existed at all.

Prove me wrong.

Hi

There would be some refurbs, as well as the poss of limited production.

No way of distinguishing.

Noel

No, it's not that at all.

The M4P I'm talking about is like the yeti.

HERE is a quick shot of the one which was given to me in 1985

by LEITZ- CS in return for an M4- 2 which had too many issues ...

They do exist. (Here is no. 1649 83x)

Best regards

And sure enough, the chrome one I have has the flush windows. I think I paid $1000US at the camera show, just thinking of it as a pretty, usable M.

I had a black one with a zinc top plate, it was in the last four hundred M4-P made, M6 style flash socket as well. I could probably dig out the serial number if anybody wants it for narrowing down the changeover.

Steve

Here you go, found it without trying, the serial was 1692575
