Advertisement Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Hi bobkatz, Take a look here Ridiculous pricing. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
masjah Posted May 22, 2010 Share #22 Posted May 22, 2010 Well, following this thread in a somewhat bemused manner, I Iooked up Osterloh's R book "Applied Leica Technique", a copy of which I have. One copy was sensibly priced at £17, but there were some frankly absurd asks, up to £71. I wouldn't have believed it.
marknorton Posted May 22, 2010 Share #23 Posted May 22, 2010 I guess I'll wait a couple of years and trade them for a yacht in St.Tropez. No need to wait a couple of years. There's someone here with a yacht who I am sure could be persuaded to do an exchange, providing there's at least some mention of Visoflex and Bellows in there... More seriously, I have the Compendium, not that great a book IMHO.

wilfredo Posted May 22, 2010 Share #25 Posted May 22, 2010 This book is obviously becoming a collectable so if you have a copy, I suggest you take good care of it because what is out there is all there is. Part of the value of a collectible item is that there is only a limited supply available. Most collector's items are priced rediculously, that's the nature of something that's collectable. People will literally pay huge amounts of money for something seemingly worthless. In the end, it becomes an investment. Go figure.
stunsworth Posted May 23, 2010 Share #26 Posted May 23, 2010 This book is obviously becoming a collectable ... Only if people are paying the prices asked, otherwise it's just being priced unrealistically. Sorry to keep labouring this point.
arthury Posted May 23, 2010 Share #27 Posted May 23, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Mine has been on put on sale for the last 3 months and nothing got sold. Yes, the price is really attractive for the sellers but it's hard finding this kind of buyers. I think the market for these buyers is really small.
