Victorinoxy Posted January 21, 2015 Share #361 Posted January 21, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) It is a very nice whisky, full of smoky-peaty-sherry sweet aromas. If you want to get some more information i highly recommend you to check out ralfystuff on youtube! I personally prefer the 12 year old version, it's immense! Just another great hobby

Popular Post 105012 Posted February 4, 2015 Popular Post Share #363 Posted February 4, 2015 This was a guilt free purchase, my wife said "well you need different cameras for different purposes" --- I really didn't hear much after the word need. Dan Berke Posted May 25, 2015 Share #370 Posted May 25, 2015 Just ordered an M3.....selling my M9 on here as it just wasn't doing it for me like Tri-x. Plus I like the idea that it will hold its value.Trying to decide what the best 'classic' 50mm lens is to get....dual range summicron maybe, or elmar 2.8. cwolffensperger Posted May 25, 2015 Share #371 Posted May 25, 2015 Congratulations, sounds good! For me the M3 is working out great with the DR and tri-x. For the colour 'pop' though I prefer the Zeiss sonnar a bit...
Dan Berke Posted May 27, 2015 Share #372 Posted May 27, 2015 Got it today - wow! The viewfinder trounces the M9 and M6 for brightness. It feels more solid and well made than any camera I have used before. Picked up a collapsible summicron and a 90 f4 from the excellent Leica Store Manchester (best service and knowledge around) and am loaded and ready to go. Can't wait.

Not suitable for wide angle lens though (for which I use my M7). Enjoy.
Chris Posted June 2, 2015 Share #374 Posted June 2, 2015 So I just got my first View Camera. A Horseman VH-R. It's a great tool to take photos of Leicas. Welcome, dear visitor! madNbad Posted June 3, 2015 Share #375 Posted June 3, 2015 If Maxwell still makes screens for the VH-R, add one. They are easily twice as bright as a stock screen. Traded my Horseman to retun to Leica but still miss it on occasion.

carljmoss Posted August 14, 2015 Share #378 Posted August 14, 2015 My turn to add to the songs of praise for this beauty. I've just got one - an early, double-stroke, Buddha ears M3. What a joy. I have lots of LSM lenses so being able to use them with a simple adapter is marvellous. I'm picking up an M Elmar at the weekend, and I'll feel that I'm a real M3 aficionado once I've got that. I too have a IIIf - which is wonderful - but the M3 is something very special indeed. I can't add any more to the things other people have said here other than to say that if there is a finer 35mm camera I've yet to see it.
finarphin Posted August 15, 2015 Share #379 Posted August 15, 2015 Here's my 1956 M3 DS with my grandfather's 1937 Summar 5cm/2.0 LTM lens. I had the Summar CLA'd by DAG last year because it had some clouding and Youxin Ye just CLA'd the M3 body last week for me. I understand that all the known Stradivarius violins have names -- individual names, like people. The same rationale might be applicable to Leica M3s. When I get one I might give it a name. Anyway, I have a name for this one: Carmen Miranda.
gyoung Posted August 17, 2015 Share #380 Posted August 17, 2015 Actually saw someone using a Miranda camera a little while ago, amazed that it's still working Gerry
