Victorinoxy Posted September 29, 2013 Share #271 Posted September 29, 2013 Here is my beautiful M3: http://abload.de/img/img_2806fyuiz.jpg I was originally looking for a M6, but as I was scrolling through the internet searching for one I came upon this M3 and just couldnt resist. It had just been serviced, got a new shutter curtain as well as skin and had been painted black. Got it for one hell of a good deal and I'm so so glad that I'm not owning an M6 now. From time to time I'm longing for another film M but then I'm telling myself that it wont get any better than my M3... But a chrome M3 would be nice...
M9reno Posted October 2, 2013 Share #272 Posted October 2, 2013 Yes I did the same. Solms did "everything" on my M3 including a new cover. Does your new cover have the M4 style flash symbols? If so, it looks just like my M3, which is a factory refurb, though I don't know the year it was done. I notice the PC conversion.

A miller Posted October 18, 2013 Share #274 Posted October 18, 2013 Yes I did the same. Solms did "everything" on my M3 including a new cover. Hi Akiva - Very beautiful M3 you have! One fyi: Youxin Ye, an independent Leica technician from whom I purchased my M3 as well as a few vintage Leica lenses, strongly advised me NOT install one of those shutter buttons on the M3. He said one should be concerned that the neck of the button that gets screwed inside the regular button could inadvertantly get bent and damage the inside of the camera. That was sufficient to dissuade me from purchasing one for my camera. I'm probably overly cautious, but I thought I would highlight it for you in any case. Happy shooting! The key is not to get it caught on anything. I am able to get an extra stop with the mini soft release. I guess we all take chances now and then. schmolinski Posted November 16, 2013 Share #280 Posted November 16, 2013 Heyho, since Friday I am a happy owner of this beautiful crafted peace. It's only seven years older than me but looks much fresher I grabbed this minty peace in the bay for less than 800 incl. the lens. Both are coming from the same owner. Was well cared for and works perfect Came with hood, cover and the oldschool brown leather "Bereitschaftstasche". Just playing my first roll with it ... Will post images soon. Cheers Welcome, dear visitor!
