As this is a 'religous' building it seems more appropriate for this time of the year.

 

I captured the image on my travels, hence its publication in this sub Forum. :)

 

I appreciate your comments and it's actually the only reason why I post.

I think the perspective is perfectly explored and chosen, tha dramatic light effect provide the image with depths and the mysterious touch. Another one of your imaged to learn a lot from. Happy X-mas for you, too, and I hope you keep on posting next year :)

It is Wells Cathedral (dedicated to Our Lady and St. Andrew) in the small, picturesque city of Wells in Somerset in the U.K. I used to live in Somerset and this is one of my favourite cathedrals of all. Well worth a visit. There is a fabulous walled and moated Bishop's Palace next to the cathedral, which is unique in the UK.

 

Great photo, Rolo, thanks. Conveys a more ancient atmosphere than one actually feels in the place itself.
