carylwithay Posted April 29, 2010 Share #1 Posted April 29, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I cannot find any place else for this question. When I use the upgrade on the D Lux 4 that keeps the zoom as set, I always get a verrbal message that the zoom will be as set before. These words are a pain, to say the least. Has anyone figured out how to eliminate them but still have the feature? Caryl
Advertisement Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Hi carylwithay, Take a look here D Lux 4 and words across screen. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Ed_K Posted April 30, 2010 Share #2 Posted April 30, 2010 Agree with you, Caryl, i too find the message getting a bit annoying but don't know how to disable it either
jrh68uk Posted April 30, 2010 Share #3 Posted April 30, 2010 The problem for me was not that the words appeared (not necessarily a bad thing) but that they remained and obscured the screen for so long. Then I realised that a quick touch of the shutter button (not enough to take a picture - a light touch) makes it go away.

jankap Posted April 30, 2010 Share #6 Posted April 30, 2010 Perhaps it was difficult to implement and the developers are proud of this function. The real reason will be, that the focal length is not displayed and the user has to be warned, that the zoom possibly is in a unexpected position. I would prefer to see the actual focal length, however. Jan PS The feature "return to last position" is in principle very good!!
