Guest guy_mancuso Posted December 22, 2006 Share #1  Posted December 22, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Well as the weekend is coming and many of will be traveling . I thought this was a good time to wish everyone a very Happy Holiday and also a New Year. So to you and yours enjoy the time together. Also would like to express this to all the Leica employees worldwide and there families as well. I think this was a exciting year for leica with many new products that have come out including the M8 which has been a long time coming and we all know here on the forum that this has also been a challenging year for them. So it is time to say thanks to everyone involved in the leica world . It only gets better from here.  Happy Holidays  Guy

sdai Posted December 22, 2006 Share #2 Â Posted December 22, 2006 Exactly my thoughts as well but you've said it better than I ever could, Guy. I want to take this chance to say thank you for your hard work which really should have done by some Leica employees and its contractors ... your discoveries and (normally constructive) opinions are absolutely invaluable to folks who have bought and those who are seriously looking at the M8. marknorton Posted December 22, 2006 Share #4 Â Posted December 22, 2006 Agree with you Guy, there must be some people at Leica who feel they've been put through a wringer all year long and they weill doubtless welcome the break. Â So, Happy Holidays to all here from me. If the fog ever lifts, I'm looking forward to getting out with my M8 as well...

Giulio Zanni Posted December 22, 2006 Share #6 Â Posted December 22, 2006 Happy Holidays to all! Â My M8 will go back to Solms on the 27th. Yesterday evening I was processing pictures that I shot indoor. In general, I noticed that while the files and the details are excellent, the colors/white balance look really bad! I ended up converting everything in black and white. Â So, let us wish all the best and a full recover to the M8 in 2007. Â Giulio

If I'm not wrong almost all religons have either celebrated or are celebrating their sepecial days this month. This may be a good indication for 2007. andybarton Posted December 22, 2006 Share #17  Posted December 22, 2006 If I'm not wrong almost all religons have either celebrated or are celebrating their sepecial days this month. This may be a good indication for 2007.  Ramadan started on 22 September, this year and gets earlier in the year, every year.  Diwali was on 21st October this year.  Chanukah finishes tomorrow  Obviously Christians celebrate on Monday    There's a list of American holidays here  Holidays on the Net - 2006 Holiday Dates - Winter / Spring  I am afraid that at this time of year, I still say "Happy Christmas" and will do so until the P.C. police come knocking.  So, whatever you are celebrating this week or next, or have done in recent months, may you all have a healthy and peaceful time.
