Advertisement Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 Hi beramos, Take a look here Sunset. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted December 22, 2006 Share #2 Posted December 22, 2006 Bernardo - It's almost criminal that nobody has commented on this pefect landscape of an unconventional sunset. Perhaps the title is keeping people away? Perhaps too many of us Forum members are too busy with pre-holidays rushing around?. Wonderful light, detail, composition, contrast and tones. gverdon Posted December 22, 2006 Share #5 Posted December 22, 2006 Bernardo, I looked several times at this one and did not comment yet because it was not clear for me... Let's see: You caught, very well, a superb light and managed to render a spectacular range of tones. It's a very attractive shot for me. But, at the same, time I still have a problem with the framing, namely the in focus left part behind the house, which, for my eye, is a huge distraction. However, if I try to crop off this part, the result is not as balanced as your composition's choice... well, I still don't know. ;-) Cheers, Gérald
martinop Posted December 22, 2006 Share #6 Posted December 22, 2006 I like the lighting tones / exposure in the picture + the overall environment & scene. My comments are based on what I see on my Sony Artisan monitor. Here the file sizes are <250K and the maximum size is 960 x 960 and one really is hard pressed to examine the fine detail. Based on what I have seen of landscapes (taken by non forum shooters and printed poster size i.e 4x5 foot & larger ), it is hard to classify it as a"perfect" landscape of an unconventional sunset. Very few, if any, things are "perfect" - based on the true meaning of "perfect".
wizard Posted December 22, 2006 Share #7 Posted December 22, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) A very different take at the 'sunset' theme, but I quite like it. That said, I would have cropped the lower quarter of the shot, as you would then have that line of the faintly lit straw leading into the picture towards the hut. Cheers, and a merry Xmas to everyone, Andy
beramos Posted December 23, 2006 Author Share #8 Posted December 23, 2006 Many thanks to all by its interesting comments. For my it is a large satisfaction to see the polemics that can originate my photo. Gérald, I did not know to resolve otherwise what you argue and with what I agree. wide.angle Posted December 24, 2006 Share #9 Posted December 24, 2006 The blacks look too purple to me, you may need to send that M7 and your "sensor" back. Bernardo, jusk joking. I would hang this one on my wall. Cheers.

azzo Posted December 24, 2006 Share #11 Posted December 24, 2006 Sorry, had missed this post and on the other hand, had not that much time to comment lately. This is a good B&W image Bernardo. Maybe too tight on the left side and also, i would crop from the bottom up till the grass begins to show on the right, bringing this very nicely seen image into a landscape format. THE VERY BEST TO ALL Azzo
